Columbia, NC: Columbia Theater Cultural Resources Center presents the seventh annual "Soul Food Celebration" in November 21, 2008 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. All Tyrrell County churches are invited to have their best cooks participate in an old-fashioned dinner on the ground.

This program celebrates the tradition of dinner on the ground and brings together the community of faith in Tyrrell County. We are requesting that churches bring two or three favorite dishes to this event. The public is invited to sample a variety of treats from these churches and to feed their souls while nourishing their bodies. Admission is free.
