Directions to Columbia Theater Cultural Resources Center

The Columbia Theater Cultural Resources Center is an ideal field trip for 4th and 8th graders studying North Carolina History, and as an extension for all grades visiting the Outer Banks. Students will learn how man has used natural resources to make a living and about everyday life in Tyrrell County. Programs available on Fishing, Farming, Forestry, and Tyrrell County History.

Directions to Columbia Theater Cultural Resources Center
The Theater is at 304 Main Street in downtown Columbia, one block off U.S. 64.

Free parking available on Broad and Main streets.

Traveling on U.S. 64 from EAST of Columbia (Manteo, Outer Banks, etc.):
1. Follow U.S. 64 into Columbia.
2. Turn right into downtown Columbia at Broad Street (a stoplight intersection).
3. Go 1 block to Main Street. Look for the Theater marquee to your left.

Traveling on U.S. 64 from WEST of Columbia (Plymouth, Raleigh, etc.):
1. Follow U.S. 64 to Columbia.
2. Turn left into downtown Columbia at Broad Street (a stoplight intersection, 2 blocks past Scuppernong River bridge).
3. Go 1 block to Main Street. Look for the Theater marquee to your left.

Traveling on Highway 94 from SOUTH of Columbia (Hyde County):
1. Cross over U.S. 64 at stoplight in Columbia.
2. Go 1 block to Main Street. Look for the Theater marquee to your left.

Traveling from NORTH of Columbia (Edenton and areas north of Albemarle Sound):
1. Take the Highway 32 Bridge outside of Edenton south across Albemarle Sound.
2. Follow signs to U.S. 64, follow east to Columbia.
3. Turn left into downtown Columbia at Broad Street (a stoplight intersection, 2 blocks past Scuppernong River bridge).
4. Go 1 block to Main Street. Look for the Theater marquee to your left.
 
Admission for school groups is $1 per child and no charge for adult chaperones.

The Columbia Theater Cultural Resources Center is not just for kids! It is also a great place for adults to come and step back in time while expanding their knowledge of how we have used our land to make a living. Programs are available.

Admission for adult groups: $2 per adult
